I’ve never really been a flowers kinda girl. I mean, if they are on clearance at the grocery store and the hubs wants to grab me some and toss them in a mason jar, I won’t turn that down. But to spend tons of money on these fancy rose bouquets that are just gonna die and leave you with a big ‘ol ugly glass vase. No thanks! It’s just not worth it to me. But this?? These are some flowers I can wrap my junk lovin’ head around!!
Last year, the hubs rounded up some old water spigot handles and made me these flowers. No pinterest. No nothing. He just thought it up!! I was BEYOND impressed!! Aside from my wedding rings, it’s probably the most treasured gift he’s ever given me! He even put them in a mason jar!
The bouquet was beautiful with dozens of flowers. I pondered on how I could recreate that bouquet for all you junkies coming to our January show, but I knew it couldn’t have that many flowers. It would just be too expensive. So this is what I came up with! These vintage soda bottles were begging for a few flowers… I mean look at those colors!!
The hubs and I sat down on New Year’s Eve and made these bouquets and we have more in the works!! When we were out scavaging for old bottles we ran across one special one, that the hubs liked!! So, together we made some flowers for it… and we kept this one at home!! Squeeze. Aint it cute?!!
Flowers you can keep for a lifetime and will never drop a petal!! That’s my kind of Valentine’s day bouquet!! We’ll have ’em for sale at our January 16-18 show!! I can promise your Valentine will love ’em!!
